Country Finance Manager – Thailand

Job Scope:


The Country Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company within a specific country. This role includes budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, compliance, and ensuring effective financial management to support the business’s strategic goals. The Country Finance Manager will act as a financial advisor to the country leadership team and ensure alignment with corporate financial policies and procedures.



Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis

Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.

Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.

Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

Accounting & Reporting

Oversee the preparation of financial statements in compliance with local regulations and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper account reconciliations.

Compliance & Control

Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and filing requirements.

Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Liaise with internal and external auditors and manage audit processes.



Cash Management

Manage the country’s cash flow and working capital.

Optimize cash management practices to ensure liquidity and investment efficiency.

Coordinate with banks and financial institutions as needed.

Strategic Support

Provide financial analysis to support business decisions and strategy.

Participate in strategic planning and provide financial perspectives on business initiatives.

Support country leadership in decision-making with financial insights.

Team Management

Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and effective collaboration.

Provide training and support for team members' professional growth.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function.

Stakeholder Engagement

Act as a key financial advisor to country management and other stakeholders.

Collaborate with global finance teams to ensure alignment with corporate goals and reporting standards.

Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.

System & Process Improvement

Identify and implement improvements in financial systems, processes, and tools.

Ensure the finance function is efficient and capable of supporting the business’s growth.



Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Master’s degree and pprofessional certification such as CPD, CPA is preferred.



Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.

Experience working in a multinational company (service industry is a plus), or within a specific country’s finance function.

Proven track record in process improvement, operational optimization, or financial streamline initiatives.

Familiarity with local and international financial regulations and standards.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong financial analysis and budgeting skills.

Proficiency in financial reporting and Accounting & Finance IT systems.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Effective communication and presentation abilities.

High level of integrity and ethical standards.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Fluent in English, both speaking and writing.
